well we got Rachelle's green card

Well after about a year and 11 months we finally had her final meeting for Rachelle's green card for her permanent residency. It's just too bad it wasn't after our second anniversary which is July 24 because then we wouldn't have all the restrictions and we wouldn't have to go back 21 months later to get the restrictions removed. oh well at least she is able to work legally in this country finally. Our lawyer was surprised on how quickly our meeting went it was about a 1/2 hr long and most of it was stamping all our paperwork. they only asked us a few questions that really weren't that hard the lawyer had us scared on how they grill you about every little thing but we didn't have that and he was very surprised maybe because i was in my dress whites might of helped or all the pictures we had together might have been enough proof that it wasn't a fake marriage. But i don't know that i really care just as long as it was approved at the end it has been such a weight lifted off the both of us. Not having to worry anymore about explaining how she got into the country ect. now we just have to wait three years before she can get her citizenship which may mean i'll have to extend for 6 months in the navy in order to do this out here with the excellent lawyer we have so we can make sure its done right and she don't loose her Canadian citizenship.
